ابراهیمی گفت: قرارداد فاز اول پروژه احداث نیروگاه برق شرکت فولاد خوزستان با صندوق توسعه ملی به امضا رسیده است. همچنین مناقصه نیروگاه خورشیدی فخوز به زودی برگزار خواهد شد.
وی همچنین بیان کرد: احداث نیروگاه فولاد شادگان نیز در دست اقدام است.
به گفته‌ی ابراهیمی برای تولید ۵۵ میلیون تن فولاد، به ۱۶۷ میلیون تن سنگ‌آهن نیاز داریم و میزان سنگ‌آهن موجود تنها تا چند سال آینده جوابگوی نیاز کشور خواهد بود.
